Riding Lessons

We specialize in ensuring that all our programming builds confidence and creates a strong horse/human relationship while providing a safe and fun equestrian education.

Riding Lessons focus on both horsemanship (on ground component of managing horse safety and understanding their care/needs) as well as time spent in the saddle building a solid foundation suitable for a variety of disciplines.

Cost:

All lessons are private or on occasion semi-private: $60 (includes tax) – 30 min session (mix of horsemanship and riding).

*Lessons are purchased in monthly blocks and are paid for in advance of the month*

What you need:

  • Proper footwear is required in the arena for everyone (participants, parents,  siblings, friends) which means no open toed shoes (runners or boots only please)
  • All riders must have a boot or shoe with a small heel, an ASTM certified helmet, gloves, long pants or breeches.

*Please note – we do not have extra riding helmets at the farm *

CANCELLATION POLICY

Annaleigh Acres has limited availability for lessons in order to accommodate each of our riders and ensure the proper care of our horses. Many of our lesson slots are booked well in advance and we currently have a wait list for our sessions.

When you book, we are holding your horse, your time slot, and instructor time specifically for you. Because of this, lessons cancelled by the rider are non-refundable.

We carefully manage each horse’s workload and “fill their dance card” with intention, which means make-up lessons are rarely available. Make-ups are reserved for cancellations due to weather or instructor illness. The horses’ well-being always comes first.

Thank you for understanding and respecting the structure that keeps our program running smoothly for both riders and horses.

*Riding is a sport, and just like all others (hockey, soccer, swimming, dance... our policies are the same*

Lessons are paid for at the beginning of the month, for the month in advance.  This guarantees your lesson time/horse/instructor.

Thank you for your understanding.
