Annaleigh Acres is situated on ten picturesque acres in the heart of Brock Township, in Cannington, Ontario. Our campers enjoy a fun, jam packed morning with horses, group activities/games, scavenger hunts, trampoline fun, water activities and various arts and crafts.
This camp is run and overseen by a certified Elementary School Teacher, Equine Assisted Learning Facilitator, Riding Instructor and horse enthusiast Alikee Beach. A variety of wonderful teen staff support our program and ensure that the camper to counsellor ratio is small, ensuring safety and fun for all!
Equine Assisted Learning is a specialty program whereby our students will work together in teams, along side our horses, to learn about themselves as individuals and to harness and cultivate the skills they require for future success. Group activities with our horses work to develop confidence, leadership skills, team building skills, communication skills, problem solving skills and creative thinking. Each and every student grows as an individual while learning all about their favorite team mate – the horse. Please note, this is NOT A RIDING CAMP (unless otherwise noted) – the magic and fun happens all on the ground next to your horse. We will have one day where we will introduce the basics of riding for those interested – but know that this is not a “learn to ride” camp – it’s SO much more! No riding experience necessary, just an interest in horses and the will to have fun and learn about your new team partner.
Camp Sessions Run Daily from 9-12, for ages 6 – 14 (unless otherwise noted)
Students will be placed in teams based on age whenever possible. Only three sessions will run this summer (session 1 is already full) – register early to avoid disappointment.
